Tamara Hubbard
Tamara Hubbard is a photographer and University Educator based in Northern California. She has her Master of Fine Arts degree in Photography, has worked for the Academy of Art University School of Photography in San Francisco as an Instructor and Curriculum Developer since 2006, and has been the Associate Director of the Online Graduate Photography Program since 2010. She is currently the Chair of the MFA Thesis Committee, Chair of the MA Portfolio Review Committee, and oversees the Photography Study Abroad program based in Florence, Italy. Tamara has designed and written over twenty accredited graduate-level classes, has had the honor of teaching students from six continents and countless countries, and has been a juror for numerous photography exhibitions. Her emphasis as an educator is travel photography, project concepts, portfolio development, and composition & design.
Tamara’s photographic projects include abstract photography and fine art self-portraiture using pinhole capture and alternative processing techniques. The primary emphasis of her current work is travel photography, mirroring her great passion for seeing the world, adventure, sailing, and collecting as many incredible life experiences as she can!
